I had my 37 week check up on Monday... First of all, I can't believe I am officially full term! once you hit 37 weeks if you were to deliver they consider your baby a full term baby, not a preemie. :)
I'm as of Monday 2 centimeters dilated, one more centimeter than last week, at this rate I will be delivering by the end of next week...(my own assumption, not the doctors.)
I am however measuring small in my belly size. (duh! I didn't need a doctor to tell me this, since the rest of the world tells me.) So on Friday I go in for another ultrasound to make sure everything is going OK with the baby. I'm 35cm and I'm supposed to be 37cm this week and my belly hasn't grown since last week.(but honestly I think it has.) My doctor thinks the baby's head is just dropping and that's why I'm measuring small. Which makes sense to me...
Everyone always asks me if "I am so ready to be done being pregnant?" and I think I have figured out why I haven't felt like this, since technically I only have 3 weeks til my expected due date. I've decided that besides being sick the first trimester, I have only been really looking and feeling pregnant for maybe 3 months, so when people ask if I'm just done being pregnant, I just say no because I feel like I've only been pregnant 3 months, I've been enjoying the bigger belly stage cause that's when everyone notices and you finally fit into maternity clothes, and people don't wonder if you are just gaining some extra weight cause you've been eating too much. So despite, little things here and there that are uncomfortable, I CAN wait a little longer being pregnant, especially since I am not at all looking forward to Labor! AHHH! Can I just skip the Labor part and have my baby please?!?!?! I am however excited to meet our little girl, I can't wait to see what features she has of me and Jason. :)
I am so excited for you guys! I love your new updated blog by the way- so cute. We sure do miss you guys and hopefully after the baby and things settle down we would love to come out and visit.
ReplyDeleteI sure hope everything is ok with that little girl. Your pregnancy really has gone fast. I cannot wait! Labor wont be that bad. I think all new moms expect it to be an unbearable labor. You will do fine. You are a strong woman. Plus, the meds make it so much easier.
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait to see her!!!
K - wanna see pics of the baby's room.....post those!! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's so soon! I am so excited to see pictures of your little baby girl! Have you guys decided what you are naming her?
ReplyDeletek, so I think that little baby girl must know that you want your belly back the way it was once she is on the outside, so she is trying to save you from stretch marks and keeping her size under control to do so!! AW, what a nice little babies, how come mine weren't so nice?!! oh yah, cause there were three, oh well! At least your belly will look good again!
ReplyDeleteIm so excited!!!! I cant wait to see our little girl. Then we can all find out what you are going to name her. I hope that you aren't going to have a natural birth because OUCH!!!!!! You need to be numb! Jason was born so fast that I didnt have time for a block and it hurt like H#**!!!
ReplyDeleteWow! You will be parents soon... we are excited for you and so glad things have gone so well.
