Today Kailah is one week old! It is so crazy to think that this time last week I was just Meeting my little girl. I still can't comprehend that this little girl was living inside me, and making it uncomfortable to sleep. She is eating so well now, and she has good reason to, I am producing so much milk, my breasts look like they are on steroids! Besides how painful they are for me, we are so grateful kailah is getting plenty to eat and some to share with her cousins. Since I really can feed her plus my sisters triplets! LOL! Today Kai weighted 7lbs 5oz, she's almost back to birthweight. She is such a good baby, if she's fed then she's happy. She makes some of the goofiest faces, here's what I could capture. Jason told me today that someone at the hospital asked him if we had oriental jeans in the family. Which I had to laugh cause Jason and I are as white as can be! Kailah's eyes are just little slits right now, so she totally looks like a blonde Chinese baby but if u look at my baby picture, that's how my eyes were when I was first born. So we kind of think she will have my eyes, but right now she still looks so much like Jason, a chinese Jason I guess.
All week people from our ward and my family have brought us meals, which has been a huge help. I have no energy to do anything yet. I'm still not sleeping enough, I should be napping during the day but I just can't seem to fall asleep. I love just holding our little girl and watching her sleep. She smiles a lot when she sleeps and she has just started to have some crazy blowouts, this girl can poop! :)

To update u with Jason, the contract job he was doing wasn't working out so he's back to doing more freelance projects and looking for full time work around this area. He is doing an onsite freelance project with a company in Oregon next week, so he leaves on Sunday and will get back on Saturday. I know he needs to go cause he needs to work to support the family, but I'm going to miss him. I think I'm finally getting the groove of things so I'll be fine with the baby, but now that she's here I just want Jason around all the time. I love hanging out and watching the baby with him.

ReplyDeletei looked at that photographers website at Kailahs pictures! Oh my goodness. They are so sweet. I love the one in her pink tu-tu! Seriously, she has my hair when I was a baby. I should get my mom to send you some photos of me as a baby. The one of you and Kailah seriously reminds me of a picture of me with my little bird mouth. That is so fun! I cant believe that she is so tiny to fit in Jasons hands like that. Those pictures are priceless!
