Valentines Weekend 2010

Valentines is special for Jason and I, 6 years ago this weekend was our first date. :) And 2 years ago this weekend we made a decision to stop preventing...(i know, i know, TMI!!!) So I always look forward to this weekend and enjoy celebrating our Love. It's fun to reminice about every Valentines Day we've had together.
This weekend we went to Santa Barbara. Neither of us have ever been there before and it was fun to get away(about an hour north from where we live).  Santa Barbara is beautiful! There is this park called Chase Palm Park which is lined with TONS of Palm trees and it's right next to the beach.  We spent the afternoon walking along the park path and browsing through the street fair vendors. There was also a skate park there Jason wanted to stop and watch the skaters to see if they were any good. haha!
We ended the afternoon by walking down the pier where homeless (maybe?) people put out blankets on the sand and wrote signs that asked for money. which was funny cause the homeless people were no where to be found and who knows if those people were even homeless?  The sign closest to us in this pic says, "I'll be honest, I NEED Beer!"  He probably had the most coins on his blanket
We had dinner on the Pier at a restaurant named Longboards instead of chips and dip they had barrels full of peanuts. Everyone would grab a handful and take the peanuts back to the table where after you eat the peanut, you throw the shell on the ground, so the restaurants floor was COVERED in peanut shells!

This is Jason's face after tasting a NASTY peanut! We think they might have been sitting in that barrel for a while cause they were pretty nasty.

Valentines morning Jason and Kailah woke up to their candy/Toy grams. :) Thanks to Tara at the dating divas for the idea. Jason was pleasantly surprised! :)
This one was kind of hard, but since Kailah doesnt eat candy yet i used books etc... it reads...
Munchkin, you are a CUP full of SUNshine we can't get enough of your eyes, nose, fingers, and toes. your facial Expressions make us smile. we love you Dadda and Momma

And thanks Jason for my valentines gift. I Love the bright roses, and the coupons are great(even though some of them are more for you than they are for me. haha!) I'll definitely take the Massage!
My attempt at making heart pancakes.  and smoothies in wine glasses tops off our valentines weekend. we drink from the same glasses EVERY valentines day.

Happy Valentines Day.
