We have been going to the park a lot lately. as soon as she sees other kids she forgets being my friend and hurries over to her new little friends. she loves meeting other toddlers, and she's usually the first one to go up to them all by herself. A couple weeks ago we were at the park and we were kind of by ourselves when Kailah saw another little girl her age, she hurried, stood up, said 'ooh!' and started walking to this little girl while continuing to say 'ooh, ooh'. So I went over and introduced the little ones and I met Kailah's new friends mom, Shannon, It was actually nice getting to know another mom with just one baby, we had a lot in common and it was nice to know they lived so close. We actually exchanged numbers and had a little play date today. Kailah and Lilly play good together.
Kailah has a big fear of our vacuum cleaner which I think is so cute. she never cries at it, but when I turn it on she looks at me with wide eyes and hurries walking away. it's so cute to see her tense up and walk away quickly. Sometimes I chase her with the vacuum just to see her scurry away. I know, I'm mean, but it's so cute.
She now gives momma and dadda hugs, as well as every stuffed animal she ownes. She squeezes them really tight and makes a squinty face when she does it.
Even more of her squinty face, she is starting to do this to extreme lately.
She is still in #2 diapers. I wonder if she will be in them until she is potty trained? I don't always notice how small she is until I see other kids around her age and then I really see the difference. She has just learned where her belly is, and what it means when we say it. She will lift up her shirt (if not wearing a onesie) and show us that little belly of hers.
She LOVES to say 'dadda' she rarely says momma, but is starting to a little more. Tonight Jason was getting her ready for bed and she started getting fussy because she was SO tired from not having much of a nap at ALL today. And she lets out this big 'MOMMAAAAAA!' Jason and I look at each other and say 'oooohhh...that was clearly a momma!' so i finished getting her ready for bed. I love that she is finally learning to tell us what she wants. Kailah is learning to stick her finger up her nose, we can't believe how far up there she can get it!
she loves taking off her sandals after I put them on her. she's starting to recognize the things I do and tries to copy it. Like I will wipe her hands with a paper towel and next time when she has a paper towel she tries wiping her hands with it.
Kailah still likes to clap her hands and when she's hears music she will rock back and forth and head bang. too cute!
Kailah has a little stroller she loves pushing around, lately she has been bumping into the walls with it and getting really frustrated cause she doesn't know how to back up yet.
I've also been noticing when she is playing with her friends she walks around with this wide open mouth and does this fake laugh. I wonder if she is trying to laugh cause she hears the other kids doing it. either way I know she is happy and that makes me happy.
One more pic that makes me smile. she likes to find things and come show us what they are. or feed us her food when she has it.
We Love you Kailah! You are so full of Sunshine and make us smile constantly.
