Temporary Life

We have been so blessed to be put up in temporary housing while we find a place to call home for our little family. The first couple weeks here in Boston has been very hard on me. It is hard to imagine living in anything other than a brand new apartment complex, in a nice area, with nice neighbors. The realization of knowing I could not have this was, and, is hard!  Being cooped up in an apartment all day is hard, so we tried to get out when the weather was warm.

We spent a lot of time in the car driving around areas in Massachusetts. After lots of searching and many tears, I felt pushed to start looking for a home to buy, something I was sure we would NOT do until we lived here a year and got a feel for different areas and what we liked. Buying a home is a HUGE commitment and it only makes sense to take your time and really think it through..... Well....we're BUYING A HOUSE!! Yep! We looked at every home in our price range and there was only one that really stood out and as we are going through the process of buying, everything has really been falling into place. Heavenly father has had his hand in helping us find this home and we feel extremely blessed!  It is in Hull, MA in a town with the most amazing beach, the minute we saw the beach it felt a little more like home.

For the past month I have been taking care of all the paperwork and getting things going so we can close as soon as possible! I am ready to get into this home and get my life back! Temporary housing has been very hard. Kailah watches TV all day long, or we are in the car all day long running errands, and my kids have not been getting the attention that they need. I'm hoping once we are in our new home I can get back on a schedule and be a better mother. It will be nice to have all our things back. Kailah talks about her toys she misses and her pink bed and dolly, and it makes me sad that she does not have those things she loves and knows.
While being in temporary housing we have gone to several wards In the area and although every ward we've attended has been a great ward, we are over the top about the ward we will be moving into. There are many young couples and lots of opportunity to serve and make this ward our family. Already we have met several people that we love and know we will be lifetime friends with.
