*~WE'RE EXPECTING~*

We're Pregnant with our first baby, and I can finally tell everyone! We have known since the beginning of August but wanted to wait til our first doctors appointment to make sure the baby is growing and everything is good to go. I'm 9weeks and 1day, our due date is APRIL 12TH 2009. It's still early to get too excited but we are both thrilled and definitely preparing to be parents.
I have been really sick and can not wait for this first trimester to be over!!! I think Jason can't wait for it to be over either! He's been being such a great husband catering to my every need. and being the main cook in the house. I haven't been able to make any food cause it makes me want to throw up! And any type of Meat is out of the picture! I can't even think about it without being sick!

So shout out all your advice, you Mommy's out there! What do you wish you would have known or wish your would have done while you were pregnant with your first child?

It was so cool to see our baby's heart beat on the monitor, it made it more of a reality for us! Although no one warned us that our first ultrasound wasn't going to be with a belly camera.... We are excited our little "Strawberry" is growing. "Strawberry" already has arms and legs and muscles and eyes and is losing it's tail and it's internal reproductive features are forming this week, although we won't be able to find out the sex for another 7 weeks, it's still exciting to think that "Strawberry" is already male or female...we are hoping male!

My advice...pregnancy=easy, delivery=pretty easy, recovery=the worst part! Good luck!
Can't wait to find out what you are having!

  5. Congrats!!!!!! Well i was so sick for 9 months that the labor was nothing and the recovery was even better because i was not pregnant.

Just never go around saying “I will never let my kids do that”

Are you going to stay home? or are you going to work? If you are staying home....Just find stuff that you like to do at home so you don’t go crazy at first. I had no idea what to do at home so I like cried everyday. They sleep a lot at first!

I love being a mom and i know you will to! It is so much fun! I’m sure you know this because you have sisters with kids.

Hope your sickness gets better and good luck with everything!
O one more thing how is it doing hair while you are sick? (I thought it was the worst)

  6. Hey Kristen,
This is Amber (Olson) from school(s) I found your blog from Kalee's. Congrats on the Pregnancy. I'm 12 weeks pregnant with my second (not planned!) but I know exactly how you feel I couldn't even stand the thought of cooking with out getting sick! The best thing for me is to always be snacking on something- never letting my stomach get empty and mints. I know its weird but that has seemed to help a lot this time around. Hopefully you get better after the 1 trimester I didnt with my first but it seems like this week it's been getting better for me! Get all the rest you can right now too. Before you know it your belly is so big and sleeping is just so uncomfortable that you dont get any and then the little one is here and you still dont get any sleep through the night! Hope all goes well and you get better! Working and being sick 24/7 is not fun at all! Good luck you two! It's so worth it in the end!

  7. Pregnant! I can't believe it, congratulations! I am so excited for you. I can't believe you have known this whole time that we've been talking of Lisa's pregnancy! Not that Lisa isn't important too but I am just so excited for you too!!! I hope your sickness ends with the first trimester, I am not looking forward for any of that but it's worth it, it has to be.

  9. Congratulations! Even though I am not sure I know you..I realize you have a link to my blog on yours =). That is awesome...thanks for sharing my voice, and Amberlee's

If I could do anything from the beginning of my very 1st pregnancy...I would save and organize every single picture. I would blog as many days as I could about my child...so that she had a virtual journal and I could look back and remember. And I would make videos...snapshots of milestones.

Good Luck! I wish you the best.
