New fav recipe- Chunky Tomato Soup

I always LOVE finding recipes that Jason and I both enjoy, and that are EASY to make.  I got this recipe from tastysensations.blogspot.com  And modified it Just a little bit and it was DeLiSh! mmmm...mmmm...good!

Find the recipe HERE My modifications are; NO celery.(were not fans), 3cups chicken both insead of 4cups vegi broth., I only cooked it for about 15 minutes and didn't blend it at the end, it's better chunky!  I'm making this Tomato soup from now on, instead of the campbells soup canned kind!

I was hoping to get some pics this weekend of our outings, but NO such luck.  We spent Saturday on the Beach. Jason had a really hard last couple weeks at work so it was nice to just get a break. The weather was perfect. Kailah played in the sand the entire time! She loved feeling the ocean water too, even though it was FREEZING! Every Saturday before fast sunday we're starting a family tradition to go out to eat.  So we had a big dinner at a local restaraunt and then took a chance and caught the 8:40pm movie to see Avatar. and YES, we brought Kailah! We were both a little nervous but we gave Kailah her milk and she layed on my lap and by 9:10 she was sleeping, YAY, success!! I wonder how much longer we will be able to bring her to the movies with us!
All weekend Kailah has really been daring and walking ALOT by herself. I took this video saturday morning and by tonight (sunday night)  I think I can really say that she is walking. she can't figure out how to get up by herself without using the couch or a chair to pull herself up. but once she's up she takes a good 15 steps!  I am so PROUD of her.

Also she has figured out what momma is doing with that dang comb every morning, and she has decided she likes to comb her hair herself. It's so cute that she has just picked up on it! she has really been discovering her hair a lot the last couple months, she always grabs it and tries to look at it. she's such a smarty, I am loving this stage!

Hudson's Childrenswear Magazine

A couple weeks ago Kailah got to do a photoshoot for Hudson's Magazine.  I wished SOO badly I could keep these clothes. They ARE so CUTE! *Lisa this is the other shoot i was telling you about.  I haven't got the photo's back yet but I was so excited to see Hudson post THESE on their facebook page.  It's fun to actually see the pictures in a spread that is being published. :)

NORO paris photoshoot

Last week Kailah got to do a photoshoot for a company named NOROparis.  It is a small company in paris and the designer is awesome.

I loved all the clothes so much, the fabrics she used for the dresses, and the leggings with glitter toes, not to mention the huge cuddly scarf, and the hat with the oh so long tassels! I wanted to take them all home! We did get to take one outfit home with us and it gets me excited for winter in Utah when Kailah can actually wear it.

St. Patty's Day

 I sent Jason and Kailah on a scavenger hunt this morning.  My step-mom Angie used to do this for us when we were younger.  I thought it would be a fun thing to do with my family sooo...

While Jason was in the shower this morning I hurried out of bed like a sneaky little Leprechaun and started spreading clovers all over the house leading to clues.

Once Jason was ready for work he had only a couple minute to find the clues before he left to work.

The clues led to a pot of gold, gold chocolate nuggets that is!

Jason put a little spirit into the hunt by reading all the clues in his Irish voice. :)

Now we are off to Visit Jason at work and have a Lucky Lunch together.  It is 80 degrees outside and I am Loving it!  I promise to NEVER complain about how hot it is, cause that's way better than being freezing cold for me. So if I ever complain than I owe you all something. :)

P.s. If ANYONE wants to come visit, Let us know! I am definately getting the vacation bug right now and would love to spend a few days with friends. ( "cough, cough", lisa and tara come visit! "eh,ehm")

Target photoshoot

We got the email Monday night confirming that Kailah got the job modeling for TARGET.  we were so excited!(well Jason and I were. Kailah actually had No idea what was going on.)  

So this morning was the shoot. We woke up Bright and early and Headed to the Beach. This was her first 'official' photoshoot so i didn't really know what to expect. We got there and they had breakfast catered for us and I instanlty was welcomed by one of the other mothers from Zuri, her daughter is 9months and has been doing gigs since she was brand newborn!  from there we met with the set "teacher" who is required to be there if children are present, she was really nice and answered ALOT of my questions, so i didn't feel so lost in the whole process. Then we went to fitting for Kailah's outfit. It was Circo brand clothing which we all know runs VERY big. So they actually had a seemstress on set to take in the onesie Kailah was wearing to fit her perfect.  

While the other kids get fitted we fill out lots of paperwork and then Kailah goes to Hair and makeup (this is all done inside one trailer by the way.)  makeup consits of neutrogena sunscreen and the Hairstylist(a MAN i must add) slops in some mouse and picks through her hair with a WIDE toothed comb and blows it dry, it pretty much looked like what it did before he even did anything to it, he should have just handed over the comb! blah!

Then she got redressed and it was time to start shooting.  It was getting close to Kailah's nap time so i was worried about how she would do, but they put some buckets and shovels in the sand and added a couple friends and Kailah was anything, but ready for a nap!  She did so good, she kept kicking her legs in the sand and watched the other kids play. I actually took a photo but got in trouble by the director of the shoot cause I wasn't supposed to take pictures on set. I felt like an Idiot cause I'm sure somewhere in all the paperwork I signed there was something that said DO NOT take pictures on set. Well feeling like an idiot was worth it cause now i have this pic!:  (please don't leak this! haha)

So after being on set a whole 2 hours.  They were actually only taking pictures for maybe 15 minutes!  What I didn't realize was until children are usually 4 years old directors will always hire 2kids of the same age so if one doesn't do good then they can throw in the other baby.  Luckily all three of the first kids that went did really good and they got the shots they were looking for so they never even used the back up models.  I felt bad for the other moms who brought their kids out and went through that whole process but the good thing is their kids still get paid no matter if they are in the pictures or not. :)

SOOO... accroding to the paperwork I was filling out Kailah should be in the Target "circular" (adds and internet)  around the 1st of May, so keep your eyes out for her.  I don't get any of the actual pictures they took so I will be wanting an add too!!!

ALMOST walking

Kailah got this Horsie dvd from Her Great Grandma Mary and Last sunday I walked into Kailah and Jason watching it. I think Jason MIGHT have been more into it than Kailah....I don't know you tell me.



She was loving watching these blocks fall over. She barely was giving me time to stack them up before she wanted to destroy my tower.  She likes taking everything out of it's place right now.



I feel like this time period between 9months- 12months has been full of the most changes. I am loving this stage, It is so much fun, I am in awe with all the things she is learning lately. She is such a smarty. This week especially she has been bouncing off the walls with energy, I have no idea where it is coming from!
We have been noticing that she uses her Left hand a lot of things like eating or reaching for things you give her. I will be interested to see what Hand she ends up using dominantly. 

Amazing Jason

Kailah and I visited Jason at work yesterday.  This is something that we are going to try and do at least once a week, since he works pretty close and he gets an hour break for lunch so we mine as well have some lunch dates! 

I was able to see a lot of the shoes Jason is designing right now and I am SOoosOOoo proud of him! I can't believe the things he comes up with! He is such a good worker and an even BETTER designer! I hope one day he really gets the opportunity to own his own business cause his shoes will sell!!

I wanted so bad to take some pics of his shoes to post them, but for copyright and security reasons he didn't want me to. The shoe he designed from scratch comes out January 2011! It takes a long time to design shoes! When It's here we are totally going to buy 50 pairs! I can't wait to see other people wearing the shoe he designed! And even though I am not into wearing tennis shoes as fashion shoes, I am still going to buy a pair of the womens they are pretty cute. I don't know if I can say this but I'm sure none of you will steal this idea, but the inside material of the womens shoe feels like a silky bra! I LOVE it! One of the women developers came up with that idea but it's such a great idea, cause even if your scrounging around in your tennis shoes you still can feel sexy in them! haha! LOVE! can't wait! come on 2011!
