New Job

I was going to wait til after I have my check up tomorrow to post but somethings can't wait.
Jason has accepted a new Job. At least for now. He's in a 3 month trial phase as an independent industrial designer with the company. and then after 3 months they evaluate his work and decide if they want to hire him on. It definately is a blessing. The business is only 12 minutes away (no freeways to take, so no traffic! :D) He started this morning, so it was kind of different waking up and not having him here. It has been really nice to have had him working from home the last two months. He still had some freelance work with another company he wanted to do, so he might still try to do that project as well.
I think it gives Jason peace of mind to have something a little more stable right before our little munchkin gets here. I think now he will be able to relax and enjoy the joys of a new baby cause he won't be thinking about a job. :)

3 more weeks...maybe?

I had my 37 week check up on Monday... First of all, I can't believe I am officially full term! once you hit 37 weeks if you were to deliver they consider your baby a full term baby, not a preemie. :)
I'm as of Monday 2 centimeters dilated, one more centimeter than last week, at this rate I will be delivering by the end of next week...(my own assumption, not the doctors.)
I am however measuring small in my belly size. (duh! I didn't need a doctor to tell me this, since the rest of the world tells me.) So on Friday I go in for another ultrasound to make sure everything is going OK with the baby. I'm 35cm and I'm supposed to be 37cm this week and my belly hasn't grown since last week.(but honestly I think it has.) My doctor thinks the baby's head is just dropping and that's why I'm measuring small. Which makes sense to me...
Everyone always asks me if "I am so ready to be done being pregnant?" and I think I have figured out why I haven't felt like this, since technically I only have 3 weeks til my expected due date. I've decided that besides being sick the first trimester, I have only been really looking and feeling pregnant for maybe 3 months, so when people ask if I'm just done being pregnant, I just say no because I feel like I've only been pregnant 3 months, I've been enjoying the bigger belly stage cause that's when everyone notices and you finally fit into maternity clothes, and people don't wonder if you are just gaining some extra weight cause you've been eating too much. So despite, little things here and there that are uncomfortable, I CAN wait a little longer being pregnant, especially since I am not at all looking forward to Labor! AHHH! Can I just skip the Labor part and have my baby please?!?!?! I am however excited to meet our little girl, I can't wait to see what features she has of me and Jason. :)

it's getting closer....

I went in for my 36 week check up today and my doctor checked my cervix and at first she thought it was still closed, and then she said "oh no! i take it back, your at a one" Wahoo, I'm dilated to a 1!!! Also she did another ultrasound to make sure her head was down and sure enough, there was her adorable little head right where it's supposed to be, just waiting for me to put her first little bow right on top of it!
I did gain 5 pounds in the last 2 weeks, which was a bummer since i was so happy to have been keeping it off, but i'm sure it's just water weight right?!?!?! My belly is 1/2 inch smaller than it's supposed to be, but im not worried, i'm glad i'm still little and not dying to get her out. Pregnancy, especially this part of it has been fun, for the most part.
I still think she's going to come early my guess is that she will come on or before April 8th. I won't get my hopes up though, I'm not getting induced or stripping membranes or anything, I'm going to let this little girl come when she's ready, it's exciting not knowing her birth date.
Thanks Charlene for the tip, I haven't gotten any stretch marks yet, so I will definitely lube up! how sad to go the whole pregnancy only to get them the last two weeks!
Jason is still looking for a job, but I think he has decided to do some freelance work during these hard economic times, until he finds something permanent or decides to own his own business (which is his long term goal) So he is just going to try to find companies who need a designer for just certain products they are doing and he will work from home designing for them until the projects are complete. There is a lot of pros and cons to being a freelance designer, but I'm confident he will do well at it, especially since he has a little secretary (me!) to handle a lot of the paperwork for him. :) The plus side to this is he will be able to be home with me and the baby right when she arrives, no asking for time off. :)

1 more month!

I'm 36 weeks today! 4 more weeks til my expected due date, but really who know's when she will come. Last week Jason finished painting the baby's room and it's finally coming together, the nursery is pretty much done, but I don't want to post a picture until it's completely finished, since all the little details will add so much to the room, but for now here is Jason painting the room, while I sit across the room at the doorway with a mask on watching him paint! I'm just so happy it's done. :D

I think polls are just so fun, so I thought of another one.... How big do you think our baby will be? Jason was 7lbs 5 ounces and I was born at a whopping 8lbs 12 ounces! so vote on the side.

Pregnancy... Take my poll!

I'm 34 1/2 weeks. My body is just begining to start to ache. there is a TON of pressure on my pubic bone so it's starting to become hard to walk. But I still have 5 1/2 weeks left. which is actually really soon. We still have a lot to do before she gets here and so I've kind of been stressing out trying to get things in order, since I kind of have a feeling she could come early, maybe everyone feels this way, but I've been having a lot of braxton hicks contractions, and I'm still planning on working for 3 1/2 more weeks, which means i'll be on my feet, and i can totally feel my hips moving apart getting ready for the big day (which really hurts by the way.) So here is my next poll... When do you think I we will welcome our little girl? vote with the poll on the side.
Today my salon suprised me with a baby shower when I got to work, which was so fun. We got tons of diapers and wipes! I think we are set!
We got our stroller this week, which was exciting but when we took it out of the box, it wasn't the right color, come to find out, something happened in the manufacturing process and they are not going to make the stroller in the color we want. I'm so disappointed! We ended up going with a different color in the same stroller, since we LOVE the stroller.
