Perfect!

Last night Jason and I attended our friends wedding! it was so beautiful and perfect! She was the most beautiful bride I have ever seen! Congrats again Aaron & Kam! Here is just a couple pictures from their wedding.

My grandma handed down her christmas tree to us, so we put it up and started decorating it the other night! We are happy to be able to enjoy it for the next week. We are spending Christmas in Utah, and we leave next week. I cannot WAIT! I am so excited to see everyone, and I LOVE road trips with my favorite guy Jason! it will be our last road trip together. next time we will have a screaming baby in the backseat, I'm sure! :) oh and I did finally get new luggage. this would have been handy like 2 years ago, but now at the end of our travels, i finally bought some. (hey it was on sale!) :) fyi: we have been using duffle bags everywhere we go. you should have seen us in hawaii carrrying around 5 duffle bags! it was ridiculous!

Half WAy!

We just got back from a week in Hawaii! Jason won a trip through his work and we decided to take a couple extra days and stay for a whole week! we had so much fun! There was so much to do and we definitely didn't get to do everything!
The first half of the trip we stayed in Waikiki, on Oahu. We went sailing and Jason had his first Real coconut! :) We hiked Diamond Head, and did a lot of shopping, and of coarse layed out on the beach. My uncle Geoff and aunt Leslie live in Hawaii so wewere lucky to have "locals" to show us around!
The second half of the trip we made our way up to the North Shore where we stayed at Turtle Bay Resort. We went snorkeling, saw sea turtles, drove around in our mustang convertible, Jason went golfing with his friend Brett, while I went and got my first pregnancy massage! Hey I deserve it, I just passed my half way mark last week!
Before Hawaii i was wearing my favorite Jeans and by the time we were leaving I couldn't fit into them :)!! Baby must of had a growth spurt while we were there, and I started feeling her move around for the first time! She totally knew we were in Hawaii and wanted to come out and play...

Uncle Geoff and Aunt Leslie, they picked us up from the airport and "leied" us! I was really excited , cause I thought everyone got a Lei when they got off the airplane, but apparently not.

Overlooking Waikiki, Diamond head is the point in the back, which we hiked the next day.

Going sailing out of Waikiki, It's windy out there in that big ocean.

our view from the hotel we stayed at in Waikiki.

Jason trying his first real coconut, which isn't bad! It took us forever to find a place that served real coconuts and real fruit smoothies! how silly is that? We were on the middle of a tropical island, i didn't think they would be so hard to come across!

Can I just be Huge and pregnant looking already!?!?!? I really wanted to take prego pics in front of the setting sun, but I guess this is all you get...a tiny baby bump!

Jason loved these trees, they have a ton of roots growing from the ground as it's trunk. they looked really cool. Jason couldn't resist swinging on it's hanging branches!

Our rental car! mustang convertible.

We hiked Diamond Head and this is the view overlooking Waikiki, I'm pretty proud of myself doing it 5 months pregnant! lol! really it was only 1 1/2 miles

Out to dinner with my aunts and Uncles! :)

Jason's new nickname for me.

our resort on the north shore

the view from our room at turtle bay! it was so fun to open the doors every morning and just lay in bed and listen to the waves crashing outside our window!

polynesian cultural center

vans triple crown surf competition

Jason and his friend Brett and little girl Taylor at sharks cove, I didn't know we knew so many people in Hawaii!

Snorkling, which is so fun! but you look like the biggest dork! I love it!

Pearl Harbor, we missed the tours, dang it, so we settled for the museum and just walking around and learning more about it.

ribbons and bows 95% sure...

I went in for a follow up appointment with my new doctor in Irvine. I really liked her! I explained how we didn't get to find out the sex in the ultrasound and she was thrilled to try again right then. This time the dang ambilical cord was in the way, but my doctor is 95% sure it's a GIRL! awww.... so there still is 5% chance we might be having a boy, but my doctor saw the three lines, and i guess three lines means a girl. We are so excited and i'm trying to get the color blue out of my head for the next couple years and start focussing on some pink! :)
We are open to suggestions for names so leave a comment with your favorite!

Jason's B-day

Last week Jason and I went to my nieces birthday party and i did hair for her and all her friends, it was fun. We really enjoy having some family in california, it makes it feel more like home and it is so welcoming at their house.

November is filled with birthdays for me including my mom, 4 nieces, and of coarse Jason! We did discover that november babies are the babies of Love, or Valentines babies, since 9months earlier than Jason's birhtday, November 14th, is Valentines day. hmmmm..... For Jason's birthday, we, yes...WE got new Iphones and changed our service since tmobile doesn't work at our home. We celebrated Jason's life by inviting some friends over and having cake and ice cream. It was so fun to be able to invite people over. Jason is now 28! only 2 more years til the big 3-0 so i wanted to make sure to take some pics of him while he's still looking great so he can look back one day and show his kids what he used to look like... :) Jason's also been working out alot getting preped for Hawaii.

I've been sick this week so friday and saturday I called into work, which worked out great cause we really had a lot to get done so saturday Jason did some yard work. It was so fun to see Jason mowing the lawn with his shirt off in the middle of november, it was 90 degrees here!!! I love the weather here! I think I'm going to work on my tan this week before we go to Hawaii. :D

On the negative side of the hot weather and hot winds, california has been burning up! so here is the view we got of the fires when we were running errands. It looks closer than it is but I could not believe the smoke!! please keep your prayers with the victims of these horrible fires, and pray for the firefighters too.

It's a.....

IT'S A...BABY!

We are so excited to be having a baby! Now if baby would just uncross those legs and move it's hand we might be able to tell what kind of baby it is.... I'm so disappointed we still don't know... but I'm happy to see baby looks healthy and moving around a lot.
I'll keep the poll going until we find out (which hopefully is not at delivery time!), so keep your guesses coming, I guess we only have a 50-50 chance of what it could be.

Here's some pics from the Ultrasound today

spine and head (side profile)

ok...we might be having an alien, I guess we aren't so sure?!?!? face shots are pretty freaky! :)

I finally got some pics back from a photoshoot i did in Huntington Beach a month ago so I wanted to post them.
Jason and I were glued to the TV last night and are still waiting to hear if prop 8 passed. it pretty much did but there is 5% that is not counted yet and it could still determine the outcome. But I am so happy that prop 8 had so much help and thanks to everyone who got out and voted. It really means alot to us and we now that this is just the begining of a long fight. also Florida and Arizona both passed an ammendment that bans same-sex marriage. So let's keep the continue to keep the world this way so that our posterity KNOWS the definition of marriage is between one man and one woman. thank you!

time to Vote-BABY, and the Big move.

This week has been so busy, like all the other past weeks, I guess. Friday we finished packing the rest of our stuff then got in costumes and went out to dinner and a movie with our friends Casey and Bronson. We are so glad we were able to go out and do something for Halloween even if we didn't go all out...there is always next year. Saturday we woke up and had people from the ward come help us move. I have to brag that we moved in a record time! It took only an hour for everyone to load up all our stuff we started at 9 and were completely done moving into our new place by 12. Now we just need to finish organizing! We are so grateful for all the help we had, and feel so blessed to be living in my Aunt Marianne's home in Irvine. We hope to save asap and get into a place of our very own!
My baby bump is growing and although no one thinks I'm showing, Jason and I can tell that there's a baby growing in there! I'm so excited to start decorating the baby's room and can't wait to find out the sex. We find out next Monday what we are Having, so it's time to start casting your vote, What do you think? Boy or Girl? This is the votes so far....
Me- GIRL (hoping for a Boy though!)
Jason- BOY (actually he doesn't think either or..)
My Dad- GIRL (he already had a dream about it)
My Mom- GIRL
My sis Lisa- GIRL
My friend Lindsay- GIRL (of coarse she'd want another one of me. :)
hmmm... I hope I'm not gynxing myself by having everyone vote.
Speaking of Voting, remember to get out on Tuesday and vote for President and if your in California, remember to vote YES on Proposition 8

Proposition 8-Please read!

Proposition 8 - Please Read!

Failure to pass Proposition 8 will hurt children. If gay marriage remains legal, public schools will put it on equal footing with traditional marriage. Children will likely receive "age appropriate" information about sexual relations within heterosexual and homosexual marriages.Failure to pass Proposition 8 will hurt churches. The court's decision will inevitably lead to conflicts with religious liberty and free speech rights. Society will become more and more hostile to traditional beliefs about marriage and family. Over time, greater acceptance of nontraditional marriage will be demanded of all people. This could impact the ability of any religion to teach and practice its beliefs. Including adoption agencies.A YES vote will not hurt gays. In California , the law provides for marriage-related benefits to be given to civil unions and domestic partnerships. Proposition 8 does not diminish these benefits. For your information:On Friday, October 10th, 2008 a first-grade class took a field trip to witness a lesbian wedding in California . CLICK HERE for the article from the San Francisco Chronicle.A father in Massachusetts was frustrated when his twin kindergartners were taught about homosexuality at school by the teachers. He insisted he be notified in the future before such things were discussed so he could pull his boys out of school. He was taken to jail. Click Here for the story.A Catholic adoption agency In the UK closed their doors because of the Government's new homosexual equality laws. The Equality Act forbids discrimination in the provision of goods and services on the basis of sexual orientation. The law was forced through Parliament last year despite past Prime Minister Tony Blair's recommendation that Catholic adoption agencies be exempted from the rules. Click Here for more info.Earlier this month judges in Connecticut overturned the state law (just as the judges in California did) to legalized gay marriage. This is not just an issue in California . We voted years ago to keep traditional marriage as the only marriage recognized in the state of California , 4 judges overturned our vote…and we need to fight back. That is what this Proposition is about. This is happening everywhere and the leaders of the church and others have warned that the outcome of California 's vote will affect the way the other states vote. So PLEASE…even if you don't live in California , put this on your blog or email this on. The internet knows no state line. You know contacts in California that I don't…and so do your friends. Please pass this on as it could eventually have an effect on everyone!

November 4th: Election day. Polls close at 8:00pm. Vote by mail must be received by this time and can be hand delivered if necessary.

YOU'VE BEEN TAGGED...Here's what you do: If you feel this is an important issue I ask that you copy and paste this post...and post it on your blog. PLEASE keep it at the top of your blog through November 4th. which you can adjust each time you post under the 'edit post' option. The internet knows NO STATE LINE. You know contacts in California that I do not...as do your friends and their friends...and so on. Please do this. If not for your own children and the effect it could have on them some day...for mine! After you have posted this...email this to your contacts and TAG all your blogging buddies to do the same. THANK YOU!

Maternity clothes

I bought my first maternity clothes today! Target was having a sale so I thought I would hop on that while I could. It was funny trying on maternity clothes cause they are huge on me, but I know they will fit once my belly starts growing. My pants are just starting to feel tight this week, and I can't wait to find some good dresses, I think I will be sporting those my whole pregnancy. I don't like the feeling of tight pants around my belly, it's so uncomfortable.
This week I finally am not so natious and I'm able to hold my food down! Wahoo! I know Jason is so excited and already expects me to be the way I was before the pregnancy. but for some reason I'm still really tired and I can get very faint when standing and doing hair for long periods.
We are buying a car tomorrow. We hate the color but got such a great deal on it, we couldn't pass it up. once we move to Irvine and with how different Jason and my schedules are, we really needed one. I will feel so much safer in this car too and it has a/c which is a must if your going to be driving in a car with a baby in california. I will post pics, asap. Sorry I have posted any lately... I promise as soon as I start showing, I will start documenting with pictures.

improving...

13 weeks today! I have to wake up like 5 times in the middle of the night now to go the bathroom. ugh! I'm still sick but hopefully (fingers crossed) I will be getting back to feeling normal in no time! Despite being sick, I made it out every night this weekend. You should be so proud! It's been around 8 weeks since we last got out. Friday we went to an 80's prom party, thanks for inviting us Meagan, it was a lot of fun! Jason was so so happy to finally get out of the house! Saturday we went to a Huntington beach carnival with a friend of mine from work and her fiance, luckily there was so yummy fair food I was able to hold down, but I had to pass when it came to those swirly rides.
We have had such a great conference weekend. I love conference and was so glad to be able to watch it via internet so we could stay at home. saturday morning Jason turned on conference before I was awake, so I woke up to the music of the tabernacle choir, singing the opening hymn. It was so beautiful and I was so happy and felt at home when I heard the music. My step-mother, Angie used to turn on all the tv's and radio's in the house on conference morning, so it reminded me of that, and I loved it! It's times like these when for a moment my life isn't too busy and I miss my family and wish I was in their company sharing conference with them. This is probally the first conference ever that I did not fall asleep at all! I was glued to what each speaker was saying and so thankful that we have a living day prophet to give us guidance in this world where at times you feel so lost and alone. It is such a reassurance to hear speakers of god and know that you are not alone.

SUPER BUSY

It has been a little bit since I blogged, but I just wanted to update everyone on a few things real quick! First of all my sister Lisa got second place with some close votes for the Baby Bump contest. She won $200 and every little bit helps, so thank you for voting for her!
Jason spent last week in Vegas for a work convention, and he had a great time and got to do a lot and meet a lot of people. He really enjoys his job!
I went in for my 12 week appointment last week and got to hear our little strawberries (more like an apple now...)heart beat. I'm still really sick but am hopeful that I will be getting over it! My pants are just starting to feel a little uncomfortable, but I'm sure I won't be showing for another couple months.
We are doing a lot of planning and are in the works of moving, so I will update you on that a little later when I have time.
My work is going good and I love everyone I work with and am so happy I'm at the salon im at. I still haven't told everyone there that I'm pregnant.
we're still working hard on supporting prop 8. I wish I had more time to help out!
We are planning for upcoming vacations as well. I can't wait for Hawaii in november so we can just relax! cause believe you me... I need to relax!

more thoughts....

I've just been feeling very overwhelmed this week, I have been learning a lot and I have been realizing the need of help for the people around me. I'm starting to understand more of the reasons why Jason and I are living where we are living and why we are faced with the challenges that we have been faced with. I hope to get a lot done this week while Jason is on a business trip in Vegas with his work. He leaves tomorrow and won't be back til Friday. It will be lonely sleeping alone at night but I think every time we get a break from each other it only brings us closer together and I feel like it is so important to have time away from your spouse. (not too much tho. :)) It gives each of us time to ourselves and to be able to recoup from a stressful week and not have to worry about each other. I guess it's kind of a time to be selfish. :)

I have my 12 week appointment this week so I will update you later this week. Also I got out for the first time in a long time on Saturday. Jason and I went to dinner with my cousin Jamie and her husband and son Johnny and Jamie's sister in-law Kristine. It was good to get out and I was glad to have made it through dinner without throwing up! I really don't like going out to eat since I've been so sick!
