16month checkup

So I missed Kailah's 15month check up, by a month and a half! OOOps!

Here are her stats:

weight: 19lbs 4oz   3rd% percentile

Height: 30 1/2 inches.  33rd %percentile

Kailah has been talking like crazy this week and even pronouncing words!  I am so proud of her, and was not surprised at all to hear one of her first words "SHOE!" come out of her mouth.

I can't beleive the little girl Kailah is turning into.  She does the funniest little things and we love her so much.
Her personality has changed a lot from 3 months ago.  She is now very timid around adults she does not know.  She now knows that every adult is not her parents.  But she still warms up very quickly to kids who give her attention. 
Kailah loves dancing around to music, and will dance immediately upon the word dance being mentioned.  She also does ring around the rosie. And loves clapping her hands to if your happy and you know it.

Surprise Visit

We were surprised this week by a visit from my sister Valerie and her family.  It was so nice to see them all. I miss my niece and nephews like crazy.  The night before they left Caitlyn came up to me and said she is really going to me miss me when she leaves.  it broke my heart to hear that cause I really do miss them and I can't believe how big she is.  Since moving away from my family it is harder to keep those relationships with my nieces and nephews like I used to, but I am so happy to know that she still remembers me and misses me like I do her.

Caitlyn was the best little helper with Kailah.  And Kai loved playing with her cousins and she warmed up Really fast.  Braedon who is only 9 months older than Kailah was so nice, I couldn't believe the way he shared kailah's toys with her.

 Thanks for coming to play, Mills family!  We love you and miss you!

Kailah 16month Pictures

 Trying to take a 16month olds pictures seems nearly impossible...  She is not interested in stopping to look at a camera, she is go, go, go, all the time.

Cynthia Pace

Ok remember my post just a few weeks ago HERE, About Cynthia Pace who is our stake presidents wife and wrote that song about the prophets?

Well it is with a heavy heart that I tell you, That last sunday Cynthia had a stroke.  She was in the ICU all week and was starting to respond to her family for two days when she had a cat-scan and the doctors discovered more bleeding in her brain that caused her to have to go back on the ventilator and eventually led to her passing.  It seems so unreal that I had this great memory of her from just a few weeks ago and she was such a happy and healthy woman.  And now she is with her heavenly father.  She has a few children who are still in High School, so I'm sure this will be very hard on them.

Cynthia was always coming up to me every sunday telling me how beautiful she thought Kailah was.  She has a granddaughter who is a week apart in age from Kailah, and they look very similar.

We are so sad about this news but know that the lord has work for her on the other side.

Please pray for comfort to be with this great Family.

Kailah Eve- 15 months

 Kailah loves  to do things all by herself.  She is starting to use her utensils really well and likes to drink from momma and dadda's cups.

 She thinks she is a big girl and likes to follow around kids who are bigger than her, and do what they are doing.

 Pointing to everything is what she does everytime she wants to tell us about something. And then she will start jibber jabbering about it!

 Daddy coming home from work is one of the highlights of her day. She loves seeing him and getting his attention right when he comes in the door.  She is always smothered with kisses and loves to be chased by daddy.

She is very gentle with little babies.  And she wants to give them big hugs like she does her stuffed animals

 Kailah loves to pull out the pots in our kitchen and sit in them.  In fact anything that looks like she could fit in she tries to sit in.

She is throwing fits like crazy lately.  If she wants something and we are not paying attention to what she wants she will stomp her feet and run across the room yelling 'aaaaaahhhhh'

She's learning how to take off her clothes, and loves bath time.  Here she is with her cousins, Kambrie and Paige.

She still loves books and will look at them and pretend she is reading to herself.

 And YES, she found her nose!!!

At night before bedtime I will rock her and whisper to her sweet nothings and she starts to whisper back, it is so sweet!

 She sings the alphabet song, it sounds like this "eh, ah, ee, oh, ooh, ah, eh" (sung to the music of the alphabet song or twinkle, twinkle little star)

 She also says 1, 2, 3, like this "un, oo, eeee!" 

 She understands so much! she knows almost all her body parts, eyes, ear, nose, mouth, tounge, head, belly, fingers, toes, pee pee.

 Kailah loves the sand, and loves going to the beach and being outsise.  Last time we were at the ocean she was lying on her stomach in the sand and acting like she was swimming in it.  She is not afraid to get dirty.

She loves to brush her teeth, and is really good at it. 

And the sweetest pictures EVER!  We went to the Beach with some friends last weekend and Kailah got to play with her friend Jack. They play so well together and these next pictures just prove how much they love each other!
