We had the BEST Christmas this year. Although we love spending every Holiday season in Utah surrounded by family and friends, this year we stayed in California and celebrated with just our little family. It was so nice waking up on Christmas morning and opening presents. We didn't have much but all the little things and the time we spent together will be cherished.

Kruz- 2-3months
Two Month Stats
24 3/4 inches long 98th percentile
13 lbs 4oz. 75th percentile
So much has changed in Kruz this past month!
He is a Big baby! And by big, I mean TALL, He's not super chunky yet, but it honestly feels like I just birthed a 3month old! I kind of got jipped on the newborn stage. :(
Kruz loves people and loves to look at faces. He doesn't like being by himself. He loves to smile and be talked to. He is a really happy baby. He is constantly moving when he is awake.
When he is hungry or tired he lets us know it! He eats SO much and is such a great nurser.
By 1 and 1/2 months Kruz was sleeping through the night. Him being a good sleeper has helped me feel back to normal quick.
At his 2month appointment I noticed a tooth cutting through on the top next the where the front teeth would be. He doesn't seem to complain about it at all but it was definitely a surprise seeing that tooth so early.
At 3months we moved him into his big crib in Kailah's room. I wait until Kailah is asleep and then put him in their room before I go to bed. He usually wakes up around 6 for his morning feeding.
At 2months he was fitting into 3month clothes and now at 3 months he is really close to fitting in 6month clothes. It's so tricky buying things for him cause I need to remember to buy them big but for Kailah I have been trained to buy things really small.
He is also already wearing size 2 diapers.

Fall soccer '11
Jason kicked off the first soccer game of the season this last week. He scored one goal, but they still lost. I'm rooting for a win this season.
This time his team is playing at a field by our house so I just walked the kids over to the park in the stroller.
This is Kruz's first official soccer game he's attended. Kailah stayed on the blanket and watched the game the whole time. She likes to cheer Jason on telling his to "run" and "kick 'da bal, dada". She's the best little cheerleader, and we just love going to Jason's game as a family and supporting him.

Sequoia Camping
This September we decided to switch it up a bit and instead of going beach camping like we normally do, we went with a group of friends to Kings Canyon, Sequoia National Park.
This was our first big road trip since having Kruz. We surprisingly fit all our camping gear in our small Mazda 3. There's no way we could have fit one more person in there. This is how we roll...
Kailah hadn't been camping for 2 minutes and she already looked like a cave woman baby!
There were a lot of bugs where we camped and because Kruz was so new I didn't want him exposed to all their nasty bites so he hung out in the tent most the time. We broiught his little bouncer for him to sleep on.
On the second day there it started to rain. Apparently it is quite common in this neck of the woods to have a rain storm at least once a day. Luckily, our friends the Bushman's brought a big canopy so we all piled in there in the morning til the rain passed. It was quite the experience and really cool to see the storm come in through all the trees. It seemed straight out of a movie.
That afternoon we went on a hike to a small waterfall and a big open meadow.
2 Nights was not nearly long enough to really explore the park. On the day we were driving home we spent the afternoon down by the really big big trees and saw the "Biggest Tree in The World", General Sherman.
We had such a great time and hope to go back again next year for a bit longer and in a different area of the park.
...Oh yeah, and there were lots and lots of Bears there! I never saw one (thank heavens!) but we had to keep all our food in a bear box anytime we weren't eating. We even had to put the car seats in there too, since bears sometimes smell food from car seats and may break into your car to get to it. So SCARY! I didn't sleep at all the first night!
