HB for A Birthday.

I was SO excited to get out of the house this weekend, after being stuck inside all week.  We headed down to Huntington Beach on saturday to celebrate Kamryn's birthday. It was so fun to see her and we are so lucky to have such good friends that love to hang out, it keeps us going.

Kailah was the center of attention for sure! She crawled right to the middle of all these people and just started talking as loud as she could. We just laughed watching her acting like a goof ball!  I guess she wanted to get in on the conversations everyone was having.

Rainy Days

It's been real rainy where we live lately.....

Luckily we didn't get any tornatos or flooding but we were still stuck inside, not wanting to go anywhere in the rain.

So i guess rainy days are good days to take pictures,  I didn't put my camera down last week!

We saw the sun a couple days this week, and we are looking forward to when it warms up enough to go to the pool.
Jason loves the rain because it makes california look so green afterwards.  We really did need alot of rain after the firey seasons we had last year.

On a BrIgHtEr note; We got some new furniture, yay!  Jason and I NEVER buy big purchases for our home! we are used to hand me downs and yard sale stuff, which has all been really great but it's just nice to get your OWN stuff that's never been used! :)  I'm working on getting our apartment feeling more "Homey" and it's starting to, so when everything is complete I will post pictures. (which might be a while, since this is supposed to be a 2010 year project.)

Also I will add that im going on 4 weeks of my new years resolutions and sticking to most of them! (that never happens) I am feeling accomplished! :D

Kailah Eve- 9 Months

9 month STATS:
weight- 15pounds 12 ounces 5-10%percentile
height-28 1/4inches 75% percentile
head- 43cm 25%percentile

Milstones Reached:
-pulling herself around on her tummy(so close to crawling)
-pulling herself up to standing position
-poops on potty at least 2 times a day
-2 bottom teeth (3rd one is gonna come in any day)
-uses pointer fingers to feed herself

 About her personality:
Kailah is still an independent baby. She loves doing things herself. And now that she's moving around she's getting into everything! (yes we are now buying new furniture so her little fingers can't get to everything and make a mess)  Kai is such a social girl. She loves seeing other babies and kids. (this means I need to start some more play dates.) She has a cute little squeal she uses when she gets excited and sees other kids and dogs too.  She is laughing a lot and instead of just laughing at being tickeled she is laughing at common day occurences. like she thinks it's funny when you put toys on her head or play peekaboo or when you pull her away from the TV stand she's crawling too that she wants to make a mess of. She definately knows when she's doing things she's not supposed to. I'll be in the other room when I dont hear her so when I go to check on her and she's into something she shouldn't be I say "Kailah" and she gets startled and all excited and rocks back and forth and smiles like she knows she shouldn't be doing what she is.  She is definately sensitive when it comes to moms and dads discipline. If she's throwing a little fit over not getting somethings she wants and we tell her that's not ok to act like that, she screams more  and starts crying like she feels bad we are disciplining her. it's sad actually that she understands that being so little.
She eats EVERYTHING! if there is any little speck of anything on the ground, she will find it and eat it! I am needing to vacuum all the time now! she's always just chewing on random things she especially loves paper.  She does eat real food however and is enjoying eating finger foods now instead of her regular baby food.  She is such an active baby and always needs to be doing something so when she's eating or going potty we make sure she has a toy in hand, which helps the process along so much easier.
She has been pulling herself up in her crib so she has now graduated to lowering the crib and I did that right away, when I walked in and saw her almost falling out after naptime.
Kailah is a talker in fact she is jibbering away right now as i type, i wish you could hear her.
she likes her toys and still loves the tags on all of them.
She loves standing up, and if she can get her hands on anything to help her pull herself up she will she also stiffens her back and legs so you go to sit her down and she just lets you know she would rather be standing.
Now that she's moving around like crazy she bonks her head like crazy too! I wonder if this is a serious problem? should i consider getting a baby helmet cause Jason and I are really starting to want to look into one!  Today she had her first real boo boo! she was moving from bum to crawling position in the kitchen and went a little too far over which resulted in her chin hitting the floor which caused her bottom teeth to cut her top lip!  What a sad thing to see the first drops of blood from your innocent little baby! :(

Kai's now sitting and standing in her crib so when we found that she had fallen asleep like this in her crib we just had to record it! silly baby!

almost crawling! but getting around just fine!

11 seconds is a record so far! its amazing to me seeing her stand like this!

happy baby with something to laugh about.

Since being home from the holidays she hasn't been sleeping as well as she used to so i was thinking it might be because she is ready to start only napping once a day. That didn't help so she is going back to two naps again here she is on a one nap day. poor baby was SO tired!

New Year!

New Year , New You!  so what am i going to work on this year?  I always love the first of the year, it's so refreshing and I'm always really positive and motivated. So I've written down all my "new years resolutions" and I always do, so this year I am going to see how far I get with them. Hopefully they will carry over into the new year but Honestly, most years they only last a couple days.
Just a couple resolutions that I will share with you are:
1*become closer to God and Jesus Christ by doing...(I have a list)
2*spend less time on the computer (yes this means less blogging, i hope.) and more time with my family and reading educational books.(photography, church, parenting literature)
3*Make my home feel less like an apartment and more like a Home.
4*Workout (isn't this on everyones list? haha! we'll see how far i get this year.)

Kailah is needing attention so to accomplish number 2 I'm logging off. :)
I'll try to do some posts soon. I also need to think of some ideas for Kailahs 9 month photoshoot. :)
