This week has been full of learning experiences! I always thought that Motherhood would come naturally to me, like it seemed to with my sisters. And I think my sisters will be glad to see this in writing, but I am not a natural, and I have a lot to learn. I give my sisters props for raising their kids the way they do. I honestly don't know how my sister Lisa is doing it with the triplets, but she is and she is such a great mom!
Kailah has baby acne right now, I hate it! if anyone has any ideas for cures feel free to comment! she looks like she's 16, poor baby!!!
I hadn't done Kai's laundry for a week, since that's as often as I do my own, and when i went to do her laundry today, there was mold growing on some of her clothes!!! I couldn't believe it! so I guess i need to do her laundry right away since it has poop and throw up on it! gross!
This week I have been getting back in the swing of things, I'm finally starting to feel like a normal person again, which is nice. We took Kai to blockbuster this weekend to rent some movies, and sunday we took her for a drive around Irvine. It has been nice to get out of the house, since I have been here for the last two weeks. All my days are blurred together, so I never know what day it is.
Kai's umbilical stump came off this week. It's still goopy underneath so we put a bandaid over it, and hope it heals, if not we will take her to the pediatrician. I swear I have called my sister every day this week asking what I am supposed to do... lol.... I used to tell my sisters how they should do things, and now that it comes down to it, I have no idea what I'm doing!

ReplyDeleteOh I am so sorry to hear and see that she has baby acne. She is still so adorable though so no worries. I am sure you will get the hang of being a mom after some time. We sure do miss you guys! We would love to come to Cali and after things get all settled. That is so good you have sisters to help you out too with all your questions.

ReplyDeleteDo you have the book "What to expect the first year"? If not, you need to get it! I swear, it has SO much info. Practicaly everything you need to know is in there. Plus it has a month by month of what your baby should be doing. I HIGHLY recommend it!

ReplyDeleteyou will get the hang of motherhood, it's kind of overwhelming at first.. well it's kind of overwheling a lot, wait till it's time to eat solids, and she spits them out at you, that's another great mess, but it's so dang cute!
