Utah visit

Kailah and I spent a week in Utah this past month.

This was Kailah's first time flying. She did pretty good. We got a window seat and she enjoyed looking out the window. She ended up falling asleep for most of the plane ride which made for one very happy parent and lots of happy passengers!

We stayed with my sister Lisa. I knew this would be a fun opportunity for Kailah to get to play with her cousins 24/7.  Kailah ended up falling in LOVE with Roxy the dog and was trying to chase kitty around all week, but kitty doesn't like kids and Jason and I have witnessed why. Lol!  Lisa says it looks like we need to get an animal.  I'm still standing my ground tho.  No animals here, not for a while that is.

 We got pretty sick while we were there it must have been the flu or something cause Kailah threw up 3 nights in a row! This is the first time Kailah has ever been throw up sick, so far she has only had colds. Anyways it was awful but everyday seemed like she or I were getting better and then night would come and she would throw up and neither of us would get sleep, which didn't help the whole situation. Sorry to everyone who we passed the bug along to..especially to you Lisa who has 5kids it has to pass through before it's out of your house!

Saturday we attended my sister Emily's sealing to her family at the draper temple. It was my first time at the draper temple and it was very beautiful. Although I do think some of those mansions up there are bigger than the temple itself.   I mean really who needs a house that big??? How about buy what you need and then send us some of your money so we can buy a house too, thanks!

I attempted taking pictures for Emily after the sealing and I think I did just as good of job as my photographer for my wedding did, which isn't saying much... But you can check out the photos here. I really don't have the equipment to do wedding photography, but it was kind of fun to try it out and tell people where to stand and what to do. I really had to be loud and just speak out if I wanted to get any group photos you really have to be pretty confident and loud to do group photography. Anyways not really my thing but of course I loved doing it for my sister.

Speaking of photography I took tons of photos while I was in Utah. I have so much family there and so many people willing to model so it was great but I will say that after coming home and staying up til two editing photos every night I am pretty photoshopped out!

I've been taking photos for a couples companies Alwaysunderpay.com and Piccadilly Circus Designs, who both needed new photos for their websites.

There were a few nights that Madison, McKenna, and I stayed up late making up silly dances and doing gymnastics, those girls got their backbends and walk overs Down ! They are so flexible and so good, I still beat them with my surprisingly still pretty good toe touches though...we'll see how long that lasts. It was so fun being able to spend quality time with them, I wish I had more time in my life to be able to spend one on one with all of my nieces and nephews.  The girls were also trying to make a few extra bucks to buy a yo-yo at school.  Just know if you come to Aunt Kristen for money...This is how you will be making your extra cash...

I spent lots of time visiting with Jason's family, his side doesn't have as many nieces and nephews so they are a little more tight knit, it's easy to get everyone all together at the same time. Kailah is just really lucky to have a lot of cousins her age. I really didn't have a lot of cousins my age growing up in fact the few cousins my age were really my step-cousins! Thank goodness for my dad marrying into the Anderson family.  I have been blessed in many ways because of the people I'm related to through my step-mother Angie.  Yay for cousins, blood or not!

My best friend Janiel is having her first little baby. A little boy! I'm so excited for her, she is going to be an awesome mom, she is so good at planning and scheduling and she likes to have fun and stay busy so I know her kids are just going to love her.

Lindsay and I took Janiel out to get pampered! We got massages, went out to a movie, chick flick of course, then we had pizza AND dessert at The Pie, my mouth is watering just thinking about that dessert! It was great conversation and lots of fun to be able to spend some girl time with a few of my favorite people.

When we got home to Jason he had this waiting for me.

It is so fun to see each other again after a week apart. I was pretty tired when we got home though, I didn't even use my massage coupon which expired that night if you look closly. I am usually begging for massages I can't believe I passed up that opportunity!
